A pair of Rochester area men arrested and charged with burglary in Williamson. Police say the two men broke into some storage units. David Douglas of Irondequoit and Joshua Newton of Rochester are to appear again in court later.
Another robbery in Williamson…… Police say Matthew Hurd of Leroy is charged with burglary in the second for the robbery of a couple of residences. He will appear in the town of Huron court at a later date.
A teen from Leroy charged with burglary in the second degree for a crime in Walworth. 17 year old Karl Ursulam arraigned in Macedon court. Wayne County Sheriff’s say there investigation dates back to last July.
A Waterloo man in expected in court today for sentencing. John Smith plead guilty to leaving the scene of a fatal accident last May. 30 year old Steven Hieler was struck and killed on Routes five and twenty in Waterloo. Smith could get up to 7 years in jail.
Investigation continues into a rollover crash in Ontario County in the early morning hours yesterday. It happened on the New York State Thruway near Phelps. Police found the car had flipped over on it’s roof and it was in a ditch. All passengers were out of the car.
DWI charges for a Canandaigua man. Police say Timothy Powers had a BAC over the legal limit, in addition to operating a vehicle with a suspended license. He is set to appear in a Hopewell courtroom at a later date.
A tax cap for Geneva residents is possible as the Town board seeks to override the state’s tax cap law. The item is on the board’s agenda for it’s next meeting. If the board decides to move forward a public meeting would likely be scheduled.
Hillary Rodham Clinton is back at work today after several days in a New York Hospital. She was being treated for a blood clot in her head. Ms. Clinton is expected to resign her post as Secretary of State soon.
The two west Webster fire fighters injured during the ambush on Christmas eve have been released the hospital. Theodore Scardino and Joeseph Hosteter were discharged on Saturday.
