Charges of extortion for a Livingston county man. Police say John L. Lyons, of Caledonia, posed as a private investigator hired by one of families embroiled in a bitter battle over a business. He then offered to hand over information that would incriminate that party involved for $25,000. He faces up to ten years in jail if convicted.

An Irondequoit man facing robbery charges in Wayne County . Sheriff’s Deputies say Joshua Angel Colon threatened to use a gun to steal money from a customer in the parking lot of a gas station on Route 104 in Ontario earlier this month. There was a brief standoff while Police were trying to arrest Colon at his home yesterday. Colon is now in the Wayne County Jail without bail.
