WACK News Update 02/07/13

A Penn Yan woman is accused of passing drugs to her son while visiting him in the county jail. Yates County Deputies say 54-year-old Kimberly Margeson gave her son Oxcodone pills while kissing him. She is charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance and promoting prison contraband.

A Canandaigua woman arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana. 18-year-old Heather Lauren Stuber picked up at Grimes Glen in Naples. Stuber was issued an appearance ticket and will reappear in Naples Town Court at a later time to answer the charges.

Drugs charges facing a Canandaigua woman. Ontario County sheriff’s say 48-year-old Mary Alicia Helser of Blossom Road in Canandaigua was arrested for possession of cocaine after a routine check of her residence by probation officers. Helser facing criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree.

Yesterday we told you about the remainder of the Honeoye boys basketball season being cancelled because of a hazing incident on the bus returning from a basketball game. Today we’ve learned that the Honeoye Board of Education has unanimously accepted the resignation of the Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball coaches. 6 players have also been suspended over the incident.

There was a woman’s body found Tryon Park on Rochester’s east side yesterday. Details are few. the body of a woman found about 1:30 pm yesterday afternoon by a county employee. Rochester Police continue their investigation….

Tonight Residents in Canandaigua can speak out at a public hearing about the the Canandaigua lakefront hotel project that’s been on going for a couple of decades. The meeting at 7:00 pm tonight. before the City Council meeting.

The Forbes list of most disliked athletes is out. On the top of that list is disgraced american cyclist Lance Armstrong. Former Notre Dame football player Manti’ Te’o was narrowly behind Armstrong. Tiger Woods finished third.  Tiger Woods was tied for first last year with Michael Vick. Vick is 7th this year. Top five: Lance Armstrong, Manti Te’o, Tiger Woods, Jay Cutler, Metta World Peace and Alex Rodriguez. btw,  NASCAR driver Kurt Busch was 8th on the list this year that up two spots from last year. Of course again this year 1420 WACK is you home for NASCAR.
