MCC’s downtown campus heading to state street. The college will be moving out of the Sibley building. Monroe County legislature voted in favor 19-9 to approve spending nearly 3 million dollars to buy property from Kodak on State Street for a new downtown MCC campus.
Sentencing today for Michael Cronin, He’s the former director of the Canandaigua Civic Center. Cronin pleaded guilty to embezzling more than 71,000 by writing himself checks, not depositing money and taking from the company savings account. He is expected to see 1-3 years in prison and make restitution as part of a plea agreement.
The Wayne County GOP will likely be looking for a new chairman. the next time the Wayne County GOP meets it’s expected the Chairman Daniel Olsen will step down, this after a Felony DWI charges last week. If or when Olsen steps down state Assemblyman Bob Oaks will become acting chairman. Oaks currently the vice-chair of the Wayne County Republican party. Oslen has been chairman for over 20 years.
Felony DWI charges for a Honeoye woman. Ontario County Sheriff’s say 28 year-old Alyssa Watson was traveling on Allens-hill Road about 6:30 pm last night when Ms. Watson lost control of her vehicle and drove into a ditch. Watson remanded to the Ontario County jail.
Wayne County Sheriff’s have arrested a Williamson man on petit Larceny charges. Police say 19 year-old Brandon Breen was shoplifting at the Express Mart. Breen was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Williamson court at a later time.
A Williamson man charged with DWI after an accident. Wayne County Sheriff’s say 25 year-old Adam Noto lost control of his vehicle on Townline Road heading northbound. After an investigation police several tickets including driving while intoxicated.
Ontario County Sheriff’s have charged a 31-year-old Stanley woman with petit larceny. Police say Kristen Gruber was stealing items at the TJ Maxx store on St route 364. She is set to appear in Canandaigua Town Court later.
