WACK News Update 02/21/13

Several accidents on the morning commute earlier today. On Rt 104 a Tractor Trailer spun out on the Irondequoit Bay Bridge westbound. At one point all three lanes were blocked.

How does the state budget effect us here in western NY? Well, Governor Andrew Coumo will be in Rochester today answer that question. Coumo will speak at Kilbourn Hall at the Eastman Theatre. The talk gets under way at about 1:45pm.

The Bristol teenager accused of criminally negligent homicide in connection with the death of his friend Dylon Brewster was back in court yesterday. 17 year old Jeremiah Acquilano plead guilty to the charges facing him and will be sentenced next week. Aquilano is expected to be given youthful offender status and is expected to receive probation and community service.

A major employer in Cayuga is moving out. The Dalkin McQuay factory announcing it will move it’s production facility to Tennessee next year. Hundreds of people are employed at the plant in Auburn. Not word on when the layoffs would take start.

a 27 year-old Canandaigua man facing DWI charges. Ontario County Sheriff’s say Corey Robert Lewis was pulled over for failure to keep right as he was traveling southbound on New Michigan Road in Farmington. Police then determined he was intoxicated. Lewis will reappear in Farmington court later.

Burglary in the second degree charges facing a Canandaigua woman. A police investigation has lead to the arrest of 21 year-old Erica Record of Brickyard Road. It’s alleged that Record unlawfully entered a residence and stole property last June.

An 18 year-old Clifton Springs man also facing Burglary in the second degree charges. Ontario County Sheriff’s say Tyler Teed of County Road 43 allegedly stole $2400 dollars worth of property from a building in Hopewell.

Ontario County Sheriff’s have made an arrest in connection with falsifying business records. Polce say 20 yearold Irene George alegedly entered fraudulent returns to the store and put the proceeds onto gift cards and then made her own purchases ni the store. Ms.George will appear in Victor Town Court to answer the charges.

Petit larceny charges for a Pittsford teen . Ontario County Sheriff’s say Cody Rudolfs allegedly stole merchandise from a game store in the mall. Rudolf’s was issued an appearance ticket for Victor Town Court.

Petit larceny charges for a Palmyra woman. Wayne County sheriff’s arrested 31-year-old Tanya Hicks for allegedly stealing several bathing suits from Walmart. She is also charged in connection with stolen items last week.
