Tonight at 6:00 PM the Ontario County board of supervisors will meet tonight to discuss the recently passed New York Safe Act and will vote on a resolution that opposes that law. Ontario County could join many others that think the new law infringes on second amendment rights.
The New proposed landfill in Arcadia seems to be stalled The developer Arcadia Hills asked that the town suspend work on the final design until engineers can work out what they are calling “significant design issues”. The current 161 acre site is currently laying vacant on Route 88.
A Newark woman facing DWI charges. Ontario County Sheriff’s say 47-year-old Margueite Annette Zietkiewicz was observed crossing the center line on Route 88 inn Phelps. Zietkiewicz failed the field sobriety test and be back in court to answer those charges.
Ontario County sheriff’s have charged 52 -year-old Scott Briggs with petit larceny after he allegedly stole over 500.00 worth the merchandise from the Geneva Walmart Brigg’s will be back in Geneva town court to answer those charges.
Criminal Mischief charges in Canandaigua for a Syracuse man. Ontario County sheriff’s say 25 year-old Marc Sthephn Heald for intentionally damaging the fire suppression system at the Ontario county jail. He will be in Hopewell court to answer those charges.
Ontario County Sheriff’s say a Rochester teen charged with robbery. Police say 18-year-old Devin Johnson used force to take about 200.00 worth of property from another person in Hopewell.
News out of Palmyra that County Clerk Mike Jankowski will seek re-election. Jankowski making that announcement on the steps of the Palmyra Town Hall.
The U.S. Greeting Card Association estimates that approximately 190 million valentines are sent each year in the US. Half of those valentines are given to family members other than husband or wife, usually to children. When you include the valentine-exchange cards made in school activities the figure goes up to 1 billion, and teachers become the people receiving the most valentines.
