A Geneva man facing murder charges. 26 year-old Larry Mallard charged over the weekend after allegedly shooting 34 year-old Damon Thomas on Genesee Street in Geneva Saturday night. Mallard in the Ontario County Jail without bail.
A 55 year-old Rochester woman charged under Leandra’s Law with Driving While Intoxicated while having a 6 year-old in the back seat. Police say it happened on the Inner Loop when Nancy Morris hit the guardrail near Water Street yesterday afternoon. Morris allegedly fled the scene of the accident and police later found her at her home. She allegedly was three time over the legal limit.

John Horace has served two thirds of his prison sentence and will be a level two sex offender when he is released. Horace raped and got a comatose woman pregnant. She later died when giving birth.
Two vehicles lost in a Garage fire yesterday afternoon in Manchester. 5 fire companies responded to the report of a structure fire on North Ave just before 1 O’Clock. No one injured in the blaze. Fire investigators say it appeared to be caused by an electrical problem.

Singer Bobby Rogers one of the founding members of the Miracles with Smokey Robinson has died. Rogers died in Detroit after a lengthy illness. He was an original tenor in the miracles when they formed in the middle 50′s. Rogers was born just hours apart from Smokey at the same Detroit hospital. He was 73.

Over the weekend the Buffalo Bills used the Franchise tag on free agent Safety Jarius Byrd. Byrd would get nearly 7 million in guaranteed money next season if he signs the agreement. New York Yankees pitchers Andy Pettite and Mariano Rivera each took part in a simulated game Sunday. Rivera threw 21 pitches and Pettite 45 pitches. Petite expected to throw one more Simulated game before a spring training start. Rivera believes he is ready for a grapefruit league game.
